This Year 6 Word Problems Multiplication and Division 1 activity checks pupils’ understanding of solving multiplication and division problems using formal written methods. Pupils will state whether a multiplication calculation is correct or not and then calculate the correct answer, use multiplication to calculate the total sales of a car within a week, use division to calculate how many boxes will be required to deliver cupcakes, use division to calculate how many boxes of scarves are sold at a football match, and use division to calculate how many pallets of bricks will be required to fill a delivery.
