Teacher Specific Information
This Year 6 Was or Were? Game is designed to check pupils’ ability to use ‘was’ or the subjunctive form ‘were’. Pupils will select the sentences written in the subjunctive form, select the words that need to be changed in order for sentences to be written in the subjunctive form, determine whether a statement about the subjunctive form is correct, decide which sentence is the odd one out, and rewrite the sentences so they are written in the subjunctive form.
