his Year 6 Arithmetic activity comprises 10 questions based on the Key Stage 2 arithmetic assessments. Some questions might require the use of a pencil and some paper to carry out written calculations.
Questions in this activity cover the following content domains:
4C2 add and subtract numbers with up to 4 digits using the formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction where appropriate
5C5d recognise and use square numbers and cube numbers, and the notation for squared (2) and cubed (3)
4F8 compare numbers with the same number of decimal places up to two decimal places
3N2b find 10 or 100 more or less than a given number
4F8 compare numbers with the same number of decimal places up to two decimal places
6F9b multiply one-digit numbers with up to two-decimal places by whole numbers
6F4 add and subtract fractions with different denominators and mixed numbers, using the concept of equivalent fractions
