This Year 6 Same Area Game is designed to check pupils’ ability to recognise that some shapes can have the same area while having a different perimeter and vice versa. Pupils will state whether two shapes have the same perimeter when their area is the same, select the correct perimeter for a shape, match three perimeters to shapes with the same area, consider the possible perimeters for a given area of a rectangle, and state who is correct when comparing perimeters and areas.
