Year 6 Identifying Clauses

This activity comprises questions designed to test pupils understanding of main clauses and subordination. Pupils will add commas to a sentence to identify the subordinate clause, identify parts of a sentence that are not part of the main clause, identify whether a clause is main or subordinate, highlight the main clause in a sentence and rewrite a sentence without subordination.
