This Year 6 Colons to Mark Boundaries and Lists Activity is designed to help pupils practise identifying when a colon has been used to introduce a list and when colons are used to mark boundaries between independent clauses. The game comprises 5 questions where pupils will determine how a colon has been used in a given sentence, select to show which sentences require a colon for a list or to mark boundaries, drag and drop sentences to indicate how a colon has been used, drag and drop a colon to complete sentences, and fill in the blanks to show which word a colon would be placed after in two sentences.
