Use this Year 6 Anotonym Matching Activity 1 to expand pupils’ vocabulary. Children are presented with a selection of cards, and the positioning of each needs to be memorised and the matching pairs selected in order to complete the game. This game covers the Year 5/6 objectives to use root words to understand new words that they meet and the Year 6 objective to recognise how words are related by meaning.
