Year 5 Give and Explain the Meaning of Words Reading Activity

This Year 5 Words in Context Reading Challenge checks pupils’ ability to understand words in context. Pupils will read the poem and then answer three questions based on what they have read. Pupils will copy a word within the text with a given meaning, select the word that means the same as a given meaning and drag words that can replace words in a section of the text.
