This Year 5 Word Problems Place Value 1 activity checks pupils’ understanding of the place value of numbers up to 1,000,000 and negative numbers. Pupils will count back in steps of 10, write numbers written in words as numerals, order numbers up to 1,000,000, find the difference between two temperatures where one temperature is a negative number, and count back past zero into negative whole numbers.
