This Year 5 Using Commas to Indicate Parenthesis activity checks pupils’ understanding using commas to indicate parenthesis. Pupils will identify sentences which correctly use commas, add commas to a sentences, highlight the words within text that would be within parenthesis, reassemble a sentence including parenthesis, and determine whhether the commas in a sentence show parenthesis or items in a list.
