This Year 5 Multiply 2 Digits (Area Model) includes five questions designed to check pupils’ understanding of the area model method of multiplication. Pupils will identify one of the two 2-digit numbers from a completed area model grid, select the correct answer to a given area model, establish whether a statement is true or false, match the answers to three area models, and use an area model to complete a multiplication.
