This Year 5 Inferences from a Text Reading Challenge tests your pupils’ ability to make inferences from the text and explain or justify inferences with evidence. Pupils will read the biography and highlight the phrase that implies that Murray’s family were affected by his hobby, select parts of the text that lead us to infer that Murray is competitive, and select the part of the text that gives us the belief that Murray is humble despite being successful.
