This Common Exception Words Set 4 Year 5 and Year 6 activity aims to challenge pupils’ knowledge of the spellings of common exception words by providing ten sentences with a missing word from each. Common misconceptions are addressed in each of the spellings and the correct spelling of the missing word is selected from the options available. All words in this game have been taken from the English Appendix 1: Spelling Word list – Year 5/6.
