This Year 4 Using Suffixes Game checks pupils’ understanding of using the suffixes -tion,–sion, –ssion, –cian​ and -ation. Pupils will identify which group of letters a given suffix can be added onto to form a word, identify reasons which explain why a statement regarding suffixes is incorrect, drag and drop groups of letters into the table to show which suffixes they use, complete two sentences using the same suffix and select which groups of letters a 4-letter suffix can be added onto to make a real word.
