Use this Year 4 Suffixes Game to help you practise recognising and using words with the suffixes ‘-ous’ and ‘-sion’. There are five questions to answer, so there is plenty for you to have a go at! Can you answer them all correctly?

This Year 4 Suffixes Game includes five questions which have been designed to check pupils’ understanding of the suffixes ‘-ous’ and ‘-sion’. Pupils will select the words that use the suffixes correctly, complete the sentences using the correct word and spelling from the word bank provided, drag and drop the root words based on what suffix can be added to them, highlight the correct spellings in each sentence and select the sentence that contains the correct spelling of the word including a suffix.
