Year 4 Reasoning Test Practice 1

Teacher Specific Information

This Year 4 Reasoning Test Practice 1 activity checks pupils’ understanding of solving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems, comparing fractions and finding the area of shapes.

Pupils will identify missing numbers in a sequence, recognise which shape is the odd one out, order fractions, use known facts to solve a multiplication problem and identify 1,000 more and less.  After answering the question, pupils may need to select an appropriate explanation for their answer.

(3F3) Compare and order unit fractions, and fractions with the same denominators

(4M7b) Find the area of rectilinear shapes by counting squares
