This Year 4 Making Predictions Reading Comprehension 1 includes the headline and subsequent paragraphs from a newspaper report on the Titanic disaster. Pupils will need to use their knowledge of predicting what might happen from details stated and implied. They will be asked to identify a correct reasoning statement, select 3 details which a likely to appear later in the text, complete a statement with a quotation from the text, identify a specific supporting detail and find two sentences which back up a prediction.
