Year 4 Antonym Matching Activity 2

Teacher Specific Information

Use this Year 4 Anotonym Matching Activity 2 to expand your pupils’ vocabulary. Pupils are given a selection of vocabulary cards which need to be clicked to be revealed. Matching pairs of antonyms need to be created in order to complete the game. This game includes some words taken from the Year 3/4 spelling list and covers the Year 3/4 objective to recognise how words are related by meaning.

Whilst we know the terminology and objectives for ‘synonyms’ and ‘antonyms’ are not introduced until Year 6, we are aware that teachers in other year groups also cover this in order to expand children’s range of vocabulary.

If you would like to access additional resources which link to this matching game, you can purchase a subscription for only £5.31 per month on our sister site, Classroom Secrets.
