This Year 4 Adjectives, Nouns and Noun Phrases activity checks pupils’ understanding of using modifiers to make a noun more specific. Children will select sentences that contain noun phrases, add noun phrases to a sentence, add appropriate modifiers to a sentence, highlight modifiers within a sentence and edit a sentence to change its mood by changing the modifiers.

This activity is linked to the Classroom Secrets Year 4 GPS scheme of work.
