This Year 3 Christmas Dinner Maths interactive activity requires children to add a number of different prices together to find the cost of making a Christmas dinner for eight people. Includes addition of amounts of money with pounds and tens where prices may need to be multiplied in order to serve the number of people at the dinner.
National Curriculum objectives:
(3C1) Add and subtract numbers mentally, including
– three-digit number and ones
– three-digit number and tens
– three-digit number and hundreds
(3C2) Add and subtract numbers with up to three digits, using formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction
(3C6) Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables
