This Year 2 GPS Word Classes 2 checks pupils’ understanding of action and linking verbs, adding the suffix -ly to create adverbs and using adverbs in sentences. Pupils will sort verbs by action or linking into a table, select adverbs from a list, use a list of adjectives to create adverbs, select the adverbs from given sentences, and add suitable adverbs to a variety of sentences.

This activity is linked to the Classroom Secrets Year 2 GPS scheme of work. Questions in this activity are based on content taught so far this year.
