Year 2 Spring Revision Set 9

Teacher Specific Information

This Year 2 Spring Revision Set 9 activity comprises questions designed to test pupils’ understanding of the grammar skills taught across key stage 1 thus far. Pupils will:

  • identify the tense of a sentence
  • add the suffixes -er and -est to complete a sentence
  • identify the adverb in the sentence
  • identify nouns
  • add a comma to a sentence to show the presence of a list

We recommend teaching the terminology of noun in Year 1 so that children understand the difference between the word types and the jobs that they have within sentences. The resources for this step will include the terminology of noun.

This activity is linked to the Classroom Secrets Year 2 GPS scheme of work. Questions in this activity are based on content taught so far this year.
