This Year 2 Spring Revision Set 7 activity comprises questions designed to test pupils’ understanding of the grammar topics taught across key stage 1 so far.
Pupils will:
– identify words containing the prefix ‘un’
– sequence sentences to structure a narrative
– sort nouns and verbs
– write plural nouns
– use commas to write a list in a sentence
This activity is linked to the Classroom Secrets Year 2 GPS scheme of work. Questions in this activity are based on content taught so far this year.

We recommend teaching the terminology of noun and verb in Year 1 so that children understand the difference between the word types and the jobs that they have within sentences. The resources for this step will include the terminology of noun and verb.
