This Year 2 Christmas Dinner Maths interactive activity requires children to add a number of different prices together to find the cost of making a Christmas dinner for four people. Includes addition of amounts of money – tens and pounds only.
National Curriculum objectives:
(2C1) Recall and use addition and subtraction facts to 20 fluently, and derive and use related facts up to 100
(2C2a) Add and subtract numbers mentally, including:
– a two-digit number and ones
– a two-digit number and tens
– two two-digit numbers
– adding three one-digit numbers
(2M3a) Recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
