Related Facts Addition Video Tutorial
Teacher Specific Information
In this Related Facts Addition Video Tutorial, Katie shows pupils how calculations are related to other calculations by multiplying the two single digits in an addition calculation by 10. This shows that 3 + 4 = 7 can be used to calculate 30 + 40 = 70. She uses lolly sticks and rubber bands to create bundles of 10 and demonstrates the relationship between the related facts. Throughout the video, there are questions for the pupils to answer.
This video will be useful for children to watch at home or for extra support as part of an intervention, or whole class activity.
