Reception Capacity Game

Teacher Specific Information

This Reception Capacity Game will help children learn the vocabulary related to capacity. Encourage children to talk about the glasses of water, which has the most water in, for example, and then answer the question by dragging the correct glass, or word, into the box. You could provide practical opportunities to explore capacity in your setting using liquid, dried peas, lentils, pasta, etc.

Early Learning Goal
(ELG12) Children use everyday language to talk about size, weight, capacity, position, distance, time and money to compare quantities and objects and to solve problems. They recognise, create and describe patterns. They explore characteristics of everyday objects and shapes and use mathematical language to describe them.
