Phonics Phase 5 Rhyming Game

Teacher Specific Information

This Phonics Phase 5 Rhyming Game will help children consolidate their understanding of words that rhyme. Words have been chosen which children may be able to spell phonetically and you could ask your children to record a rhyming string. Children need to drag the pictures into the box to complete the set. It may be helpful if, at the end of each slide, children stated all the words in the set in order to reinforce the part of the word that rhymes.

This game features the following rhyming sets:
phone, cone bone and stone.
bake, cake, rake and snake.
stay, hay, tray and spray.
strike, bike, like and spike.
knees, bees, trees and cheese.
