This Year 6 Formulae for Area Game is designed to check pupils’ ability to use the correct formula to calculate the area of a variety of different shapes. Pupils will identify the correct formula to calculate the area of a triangle, calculate the area of different shapes using the correct formula, identify which shapes have the same area by using the formulae, order shapes after calculating the area, and identify which child has used a correct method for finding the area of a compound shape.
