Reception Doubling Number Game
Teacher Specific Information
This Reception Doubling Number Game will help children practice doubling numbers from 1 – 6 by identifying the number shown on a dice or domino and then doubling it. Children should be able to recognise the value shown and have a strategy to double the number either by recall of number facts or by understanding that to double a number they can count the image shown twice. They can then click to turn the card and see if they were correct.

Development Matters
Early Learning Goal
(ELG11) Children count reliably with numbers from one to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing.
