This Year 6 Mental Calculations Maths Challenge aims to develop pupils’ ability to choose an appropriate mental method in order to complete different calculations. Pupils will solve each of the calculations given to find the word spelt out by the clues. This problem solving activity supports deeper understanding of the objective.
