This Year 5 Using Modal Verbs Game checks pupils’ understanding of recognising and using modal verbs in sentences. Pupils will select the modal verb in three sentences, state whether the meaning of a sentence will change if the modal verb is changed, drag the most suitable modal verbs to complete three sentences, rewrite a sentence with a different modal verb to make it more certain, and select the sentence that states that a scenario will happen.
