In this Multiply Fractions by Fractions Video Tutorial, Martin shows pupils how to multiply fractions using pictorial representations and times tables. He takes pupils through multiplying proper fractions by proper fractions using a block diagram to start with, and then by multiplying the numerator by the numerator, and the denominator by the denominator with no pictorial representations. Throughout the video, there are questions for pupils to answer. Martin uses key vocabulary such as numerator, denominator and multiple.

This video will be useful for children to watch at home or for extra support as part of an intervention, or whole class activity.
