Year 3 Recognising Direct Speech

This Year 3 GPS Recognising Direct Speech activity checks pupils’ understanding of inverted commas to punctuate direct speech. Children will identify the words being spoken out loud, correctly add inverted commas to demarcate direct speech, identify which sentences use inverted commas correctly and select the correct description of an error in a text which uses direct speech.
