This Year 5 Word Problems Multiplication and Division 1 activity checks pupils’ understanding of solving multiplication and division problems. Pupils will apply their knowledge of multiplying by 10 to a true or false question, calculate the number of rows in a cinema by dividing by 10, calculating the area of a field by multiplying with a formal multiplication method, calculate the number of packs of tennis balls needed using a formal division method, and calculate the number of bouquets that can be made with a given number of flowers using a formal division method.
